What is Toastmasters?

Toastmasters International is a nonprofit organization that now has more than 13,000 clubs in 116 countries.

The mission of a Toastmasters Club is to provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.

Exchange Park is a community club open to all.

Why do people join Toastmasters and how do they benefit? In this short video, members from different countries and backgrounds share how they’ve built the skills to become better communicators and leaders.

What do we do at meetings?

Mostly we practice improving our speaking skills and gaining confidence in speaking to others. We also develop our leadership and management skills, which can be a great asset to your career.

  • Members give prepared speeches.
  • Prepared speeches get evaluated orally and in writing by an assigned evaluator.
  • Members (and willing guests!) give short impromptu speeches known as Table Topics.
